Pray for Love

It's been a difficult week, but thank you for checking my blog. I appreciate it. Hopefully I'll be able to keep you filled in about this weekend and the next where I will be in Pennsylvania for Mike's funeral and then in Kansas for my mom's birthday. It's crazy times, and I'm glad i have a few days of school off. I have just two more finals. whew... they can't come soon enough. Oh, and my external hard drive with all my stuff on it crashed yesterday... awesome huh?
Today was good despite the inherent insanity of finals week and everything else that was going on. Abby and I just worked on homework and hung out a bit which we've not really been able to do for a while, but it was fun! Other than that just trying to take it easy and catch up on emails and spend time with my often-gone roommate Steven (who is actually moving to the caribbean tmw). To be honest I'm just tired and worn out and my spirit is heavy. I'm not going to lie, it's been a difficult period of time in my life. I often think back to one of the most free times of my life. Just me and God and Malawi, i remember when.....
today though, today. Today I will give my yoke to the Lord. For his yoke is easy, and His burden is light. That's my anchor verse for now and Congo/Uganda. Matt 11: 28-30
"Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
it could be said "dan, you say that too often" but I'd rather say it too often than not enough, and who knows what the 'right' amount is. May my heart know that peace. Please just pray... There are so many prayer requests that I have... just pray against spiritual warfare and against the enemy....

Mike D

Please pray for the family of Mike D Forgione, my long time friend from the US Marine Corps. Mike died in Pennsylvania on Friday night. He was loved. He is loved...
Oh God, that his death might bring people to You.

Numero Uno

Ummm, this is my first blog on here. If you would like to see my old blog, the much more extensive one, please goto http://embrace-eternal.livejournal.com ! Anyways, thanks for coming to my new blog. It's going to be a place of ideas and pouring out of emotions and hopes and dreams. There will be pics and video. There will be discussions and comments and prayers. Blogs are a funny thing, but this is my journal to the world.
Enjoy.
